FMSJ Sisters and Associates gathered on Saturday, 19 October, to reflect on mission during the Extraordinary Month of Mission proclaimed by Pope Francis. Fr. Kevin Hughes, MHM, reflecting on the theme "Baptised and Sent", presented two talks: 1. on the document Maximum Illud, Pope Benedict XV’s Apostolic Letter that gave a new impetus to the missionary proclamation of the Gospel to all peoples and 2. on Pope Francis' Apostolic Exhortation Evangelii Gaudium: The Joy of the Gospel. Fr. Kevin's easy style and sense of humour were appreciated by all as was the excellent presentation of the material.

The Sisters and the Associates appreciated the wonderful hospitality provided by the Sisters and the staff of St. Francis Convent, Burnley.
