Our sisters in Kenya and Uganda are committed to ministering to those in most need. Many of the FMSJs in Kenya and Uganda are educators in either primary or secondary schools. Others are nurses who administer mobile clinics in rural areas such as Salawa and Marigat. In addition to providing a place where young women who are discerning their FMSJ vocation may participate in a specially designed programme with Mill Hill students, our sisters in Luanda serve in the parish and administer an educational programme designed to assist street children. Other sisters serve as social workers, development workers, spiritual directors or administrators in various places.
Education is key to their success and our young sisters are given professional training to qualify them to work in their chosen apostolate, including the formation of new members.
